Hi Matt,
I promised to let you know how things went with the
cheese at the wedding.
Having got through a fair amount of food
during the day, I was suddenly a bit apprehensive about putting
yet more out in the evening (we had previously eaten our way
through a hog roast and a chocolate fudge wedding cake). However,
within minutes people descended on the cheese table and I was
amazed at how quickly the supplies went down.
There were guests
from Northern Ireland as well as various areas of England and
I was really keen to have good quality local cheeses as many
of the guests had not visited Devon previously. There were lots
of compliments and people were really impressed with the quality
and flavour of the cheeses and chutneys which we ordered from
you.
Thank you for your help in organising the delivery - that was
such a help too.
We will certainly recommend you to people. I
have already given your name to a couple of local friends who wanted
to know where the cheese came from.
Sorry we have no more weddings
on the horizon - that was the last of our three daughters.........

P.S. do you know if I can freeze some left-over stilton?
I have made some tests and found that the cheddar
becomes a little nuttier in both flavour and texture, Stilton
doesn't seem affected at all by freezing. Matt

The Stilton I bought from you at the Farmers Market in Newton
Abbot I used, as you suggested, for my vegetarian daughter with
mushrooms, garlic and cream on toast and for me and my husband
in a sauce for sirloin steak. Any left we shared on crackers,
it was divine. We too moved to Devon from London two years ago-the
best thing we ever did, and are passionate about ‘’buying local’’.
